We photographed Mother and Daughter duo Nikki and Jordan for Woman's Day magazine out in Lower Hutt recently. This week the Masterchef 2014 contestants made the cover. Here is a little more from the afternoon including Jordan's daughter Elsiana. American Joey and Kiwi Trudy met when Joey and his friends were traveling around New Zealand. Fast-forward a few short years, international trips and a romantic proposal bringing us to Penny photographing their wedding in Miramar on the 23rd of March 2013. Trudy has been involved with many weddings so she and Joey were well prepared for planning a day that everyone would enjoy. The day started with a ceremony lead by Rev Tim McKenzie at St Aidan's in Miramar. The warm wooden church was filled by family and friends, many of whom took part in the ceremony. Everyone then moved outside to partake in bubbles, dumplings from the House of Dumplings and a delicious chocolate and fig wedding cake baked by Trudy and iced by her Mum. The reception at The Roxy started with pre-dinner cocktails while Trudy's cousins played the piano. A mutual love of books and scrabble showed through in the venue decoration. Family style tapas encouraged guests to interact, finished off with mini desserts and a donut tower. Happy 1st Anniversary Trudy and Joey. Here's to many more! - Hayley Dress: Re De Seine Make up and hair: Claudine Stace Flowers: Flowers Manuela Bridget and James chose a stunning homestead for their wedding celebrations last month. Te Parae is a homestead set in stunning grounds just outside Masterton. James and his groomsmen got ready for the day at Te Parae and enjoyed a spot of golf and shooting in the morning while Bridget and her girls were pampered. The Masterton weather was perfect and following the ceremony the guests enjoyed the al fresco setting. The bridal party had all their photographs taken within the grounds, isn't the boat shed gorgeous.... Simon recently photographed Ben Sigmund, his wife Deanna and their two children Cameron and Ashley for Woman's Day magazine. The All White and Wellington Phoenix footballer talks about how the family is adjusting to life as a family of four. The article is in Woman's Day this week on page 30 so we thought we would share a few extra images from the shoot... As promised we have a bit more of Karlie and Jason's wedding for you today. Karlie's day started at The Wellesley Boutique Hotel where she got ready and Penny captured some stunning portraits on the staircase. Meanwhile Jason and his groomsmen got ready and headed out to Boomrock for some clay shooting before the wedding. Karlie grew up in Tasmania and Jason in New Zealand, so they chose Boomrock for it's beautiful views over the Tasman sea. They had a glorious sunny day with a little Wellington wind that almost claimed Karlie's veil at one point. Flower crowns, chalkboard messages and a candy buffet - we will let the images of the rest of the talking... If you've been to our studio you may have seen our beautiful sandwich board on the footpath featuring young Taiki. Taiki is now a big brother and he and his family came into our studio recently to update their family portraits. We love seeing families grow and young personalities develop. Here are a few recent images of Taiki and Hinata from the family sitting... Simon is often found out and about on a Saturday photographing families. It was through our family portraiture that we met Liz so it was a pleasure the photograph her wedding day this year. Lyn McGruddy created a stunning ensemble and hair and make up done by Rose Pauley of Brian Pauley Hairdressing to complete her look. From the start the couple were surrounded by friends and family as Rose also introduced the Liz and Peter to each other. Liz and Peter were married in an early evening ceremony at the James Cook Hotel. They then headed briefly to the Botanic Gardens to catch the beautiful late summer light. Here are a few images from their day including the bridal party in the gardens filled with colour... Karlie and Jason were married on the 1st of February at the ever stunning Boomrock. A little sneak peak of their day, more to come soon... |
