Hayley & Clinton’s Wedding – 7 January 2012

My first wedding for the New Year was a perfect overcast day in the Wairarapa. I say perfect because it is the ideal photography weather – plus it was warm. Hayley, looking gorgeous in her dress by CC Wards from New Plymouth, and Clinton were married at the popular day spa and retreat at Brackenridge. The venue is ideal, many of the guests stayed on site in one of the many self contained cottages, the girls got ready at the spa and the wedding ceremony took place on the lawn in front of the reception room. Everything went smoothly, everyone had fun and it was a pleasure to be part of such a pleasurable and romantic day.

Sally & Cam’s Wedding – 11 November 2011

My first Taupo wedding was fabulous. The wedding took place in Hatepe, a small lakeside holiday community, which is absolutely idyllic. I stayed with Sally and her family the night before the wedding, which was held at the rivers inlet. Sally looked fabulous in a very individual and beautiful dress made by Elizabeth at A La Robe. With the wedding ceremony over everyone headed to the Taupo Yacht Club for the reception festivities. Thanks Sally and Cam for making me feel so welcome, I had a wonderful time at your wedding.

Julie & Seby’s Wedding – 29 January 2011

It was a gorgeous day under the huge old trees in the gardens of Ruth Pretty’s in Te Horo for Julie and Seby’s wedding. It is a magical setting ideal for fun and creative photography. Once on location the bridal party had no reason to leave the venue, which meant less time away from their guests. We photographed well until the dancing started and I am sure the party went on in to the wee hours, when we left everyone was having a ball.

Suzanne & Craig’s Wedding, 17 April 2010

It was a fine and sunny day for Suzanne and Craig’s wedding at Erskine Chapel in Island Bay. I met Suzanne at Is Bliss Salon and Spa for hair and makeup before going on to the Lighthouse in Island Bay to get ready. Erskine was perfect, as it always is. We had time for a picnic in the gardens and then we nipped down to Island Bay for some beach shots. Suzanne’s beautiful gown was by Wedding Belles and her lovely hydrangea flowers were arranged by Susan White Florist on Taranaki Street.

Kathy & Graham’s Wedding, 27 March 2010

It was a family affair for Kathy and Graham who included their three children in their bridal party. They were married at the idyllic St Christopher’s Church in Seatoun and then carried on to their reception at The White House restaurant on Oriental Parade. Kathy and the girls had their hair and make-up done at Cathy Davys hair design and day spa and Kathy’s exquisite gown was a perfect fit from Jane Yeh.

Rebecca & Josh’s Wedding, 20 March 2010

Rebecca and Josh spent their wedding day at the beautiful and convenient Parehua Country Estate in the Wairarapa. Beautiful for great locations and convenient because you don’t have to leave the grounds the entire day. Nestled in between grape vines and with its own mini lake it offers many great spots for photos. Rebecca and her bridesmaids had their makeup done by the talented women from Hil Cook and her dress was by Australian designer Essense. We all had a fun day and the party was in full swing by the time we left.

Amanda & Nathan’s wedding, 13 March 2010

After their ceremony at Old St Paul’s in Thorndon, Amanda and Nathan surprised their guests with a bus journey to their secret wedding reception. All boarded the bus not knowing they were headed for Pencarrow Lodge. While the bus wound its way around the bays Amanda, Nathan and their bridal party enjoyed a picnic near the coastal light house and had lots of fun on the natural and picturesque coastal road. Amanda’s dress came from Astra Bridal and the girls beautiful flowers were by Flowers Manuela.

Chris & Ange’s Wedding, 6 March 2010

Chris and Ange were married at the very cute St Christopher’s Presbyterian Church in Seatoun.  They continued to have fun with their bridal party in Karaka Bay with some time on the beach for a picnic and some romantic shots using the distinctly Wellington backdrop.  Ange’s dress came from Brides on Thorndon and her and the bridesmaids flowers from Juliette Florist.  The evening was danced away at The Boatshed down on the Wellington waterfront.
