When you choose Inspire, you’ll find we’re more than just a friendly and professional school photography service. We’ve been taking photographs of children for years – in the studio, at home, on commercial shoots, and as part of our service to schools and Early Childhood Education Centres. We know how to get the best out of your children. And we take the kind of photos that parents love to buy.
Family Portrait Mini Sessions
Inspire Photography is an award-winning, Wellington-based professional photography studio who specialise in early childhood centre and family portrait photography. We are locally owned and operate from a central Wellington studio. Our photographers, Penny, Kate and Simon have over 40 years of combined experience photographing children and families.
Our kindergarten/school fundraiser family portrait sessions offer a unique opportunity to have beautiful family portraits taken with minimum time commitment while raising valuable funds for your organisation.
The benefits to your organization
There is no cost to you. Each family sitting is free, but we suggest you charge a small fee for each session, usually $15, that is yours to keep.
We also donate 10% of all sales within the ordering period directly to your organisation.
Creative portraits for modern families
Dropbox is a tool many companies use to quickly share files between clients and staff.
Using Dropbox means not only do our customers get their files faster and direct to their inbox, but it also saves our customers money as we no longer have to write a disc or USB key that is then posted or couriered.
If you have purchased a digital file from us, always be sure to check your spam folder in your email.
Turnaround times: Commercial customers have a standard 5 day turnaround.
Family portrait customers up to 4 weeks and Kindergarten/School customers 2 weeks.

You may be wondering why Inspire Photography prefers to do Kindergarten and Schools shoots outdoors. Natural light is a key element in Inspire’s photographic style, it enables us to create the perfect environment for even the most wary and timid of children.
We photograph the children first thing in the morning to avoid the harsh midday sunlight. However we have a range of tips and tricks to use the natural sunlight to our full advantage!
By photographing the children outdoors in their play area we are creating a comfortable environment for the children to enjoy themselves, therefore encouraging natural smiles and laughter. And an addictional bonus to being outdoors, it also enables us to choose a greenery background rather than a prehung backdrop.
